Where’s the sand?

I’ve been fascinated with this section of beach in Crescent City.

For about 1000 feet along the shoreline, the beach at low tide consists of these plates of rock that look like a dilapidated concrete parking lot.

It would be great to live here for a month, so I could drop past when the tide was right, the waves were right, and the light was right…so I could get the ultimate picture.

In the meantime, there’s this one.DSC_9777
