Barns

There’s lots of good farmland hereabouts, and that means there’s lots of barns.

We showed you that exquisite new barn on the outskirts of Jackson.

I thought you’d be interested in some older barns. Check out the construction.

Not just the shape, but click this photo so it fills your screen…so you can see the corner construction.DSC_7963

It seems like a storage building, what with those vertical metal bars all over it.

This one was quite small but with that same tough construction…and octagonal shape!DSC_7972

It seems fair to say this last one has seen its better days…its sun has set, and it can only moonlight as a barn….DSC_8017

  1. On my 3300 miles of bike-tour miles this summer, we passed many scenic barns. But my favorites were always the ones that looked like your last one here, the sagging, listing ones. They would catch my eye.
