In 1942 Ansel Adams made a single image of the Tetons from what is now the park’s Snake River Overlook.
Our problem today is that the trees have grown for 73 years…and they block that gorgeous reflective sweep of the river!
My feeble attempt to match this scene looks like this:
I wondered if a black and white version might seem a closer match….
Close…. But no Cigar, Very good try – Driver Still love yours
Thanks, Roger….but I’m no Ansel Adams, that’s for sure! Color’s a cheap thrill…still, the view is to die for!
You Betcha š The Color ( Wink Wink )
Besides the trees, the Adams shot had the clouds in a better way than when you took yours. Plus, they obscure your peaks. Still, yours was an incredible photo. We just love your photos and the ones Robyn puts on FB.
That Ansel…he had such control over nature! Thanks for the kind words, Ken. I’m already planning a way to improve that shot the next time we’re there!
