All kinds of little side streets take us right to the water’s edge.
That includes the numerous inland lakes (7 within 2 miles of our campground!).
Just a few miles farther takes us to the lovely Point Betsie Lighthouse.
Notice in the first picture, to the right of Robyn and the boys: that’s the cordoned-off area for the Piping Plover’s fence exclosure (to exclude its predators).
Doug and all, saw Point Betsie light some years ago, marveled at the cement teeth set down to the waters edge to prevent ice sheets from destroying the light! Enjoy! Tc
I would love to shoot it in winter!
Perfect picture of one of my favorite places. I have a post card on the bulletin board
of that very scene. Nancy
I’ve wanted to photograph that lighthouse for ages. What luck the day was lovely! Thanks for the compliment…now you have a digital version!
