We drove a smooth, rolling state route today…all 52 miles of our travels. Went from one state park to another. Tonight’s park, Versailles, was immediately on our route back to Dayton. Still here in the rolling hills of southern Indiana, we found this 5,000 acre natural resource very nearly deserted.
Those of you without minor children at home should always take a vacation this time of year. Take another in the summer with the kids and grandkids!
It really was wonderful to walk with Ross and Ryan around the park. Needed shade while the sun was out, but there was always a gentle breeze. Twilight was truly miraculous: the temperature, breeze, glorious scenery all around, no bugs, no sound of man, and endless paths around the campground. We’ll all sleep soundly tonight!
